This is a 3-month customizable program to meet your unique needs. Choose the option that is right for you, whether you just have an hour a week to dedicate or your career development is your full-time job.

This program is only offered semi-annually. It is for chaplains who want to explore what’s out there for them and be intentional about their next steps.

To be part of the inaugural cohort, reserve your spot today.

Read on for guidance to determine if this program is the right fit for you.

Who Can Benefit from the Custom Career Management Program?

Below are examples of people who can benefit from participating in the Custom Career Management Program. Names have been changed to honor privacy.

Do you recognize any of these people?

Unemployed Alice

Alice has worked in a number of different capacities over the years. As part of a massive layoff, she lost her job a few months ago.

Her confidence took a hit, but the layoff was also a blessing, because she was not very happy at her workplace and since the layoff, she has been able to rededicate to self-care.

She’s now ready to figure out what she wants to do next. She may want to make a career pivot to another type of work, but she’s not sure yet. It’s going to be important for her to understand her transferable skills and how to communicate them effectively to members of her network and prospective employers.

Burnout David

David has been working as a hospital chaplain for 12 years. He is suffering from burnout — he’s not getting enough sleep, he’s constantly worried, his numbers during his recent annual physical were the worst they’ve ever been, and he’s usually grumpy and difficult to be around.

He’s tired of feeling overworked, undervalued, and undercompensated.

He doesn’t know what else could be out there for him, but he’s accumulated a lot of transferrable skills and qualities over the years. He loves supporting people. He’s looking to find roles that feel like a good fit for him, where he feels energized, not drained. He wants to be part of a workplace culture where he feels valued.

He’s wondering how he can develop a resume he feels great about and get comfortable using LinkedIn so he can connect with his network and learn about opportunities. From there, he’s going to focus on preparing for interviews.

Eager Elizabeth

Elizabeth has been working at the director level at her organization for the past three years. Her employer is aligned with her values and she believes in the mission. However, she’s not feeling challenged, and she wants to. Elizabeth feels like she has hit a ceiling and isn’t sure what her options are to keep learning and growing.

She wants to build her confidence as a leader and increase her impact. She loves developing people, and she wants to be as effective as possible at leading teams. Elizabeth is passionate about becoming more influential in her field. She is also seeking to increase her compensation.

Elizabeth is interested to explore what opportunities for professional development and advancement could exist at her current employer. She also wants to have a better idea of her earning potential, and how to feel more confident advocating for herself and negotiating.
